Mosquito Control

Ready Pest Solutions mosquito control treatment in Holly Springs NC
Program Runs April – October

Mosquito Control in Holly Springs, NC & Surrounding Areas

North Carolina mosquito season is long, and in the communities along the 540 corridor, it can feel relentless. From the time the weather warms in spring through the humidity of late summer, mosquitoes can turn a backyard into a place you'd rather avoid. If you've got wooded areas, low-lying spots, or any standing water near your property, the pressure is even worse.

Ready Pest Solutions offers professional mosquito control to homeowners and businesses across Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Apex, Cary, Garner, and Raleigh. Our program runs April through October and uses a two-part approach that goes well beyond a standard spray treatment.

Our Mosquito Control Approaches

Most mosquito programs rely on a single method: fogging. Fogging works, but it only addresses the mosquitoes that are already active and biting. It does nothing to stop the next generation from hatching. Ready Pest uses conventional fogging with larvicide treatment and/or In2Care mosquito stations to attack the problem.

Conventional Adulticide Fogging

At each monthly visit during the season, we apply a targeted adulticide treatment to your yard, focusing on the shaded, low-lying areas where mosquitoes rest during the day: under decks, around shrubs, along fence lines, and in dense vegetation. This knocks down the active mosquito population quickly and gives you fast relief. We also inspect for and remove standing water whenever possible — such as water collected in buckets, flower pots, tarps, and low-lying areas — and treat remaining areas with larvicides to stop mosquito larvae and pupae from developing into biting adults.

In2Care Mosquito Stations

For customers seeking a more eco-friendly approach, we deploy In2Care mosquito stations as part of your program. These stations attract egg-laying mosquitoes and use a biological agent that mosquitoes carry with them when they leave, spreading it to other breeding sites in your yard. The result is a reduction in the larval population before mosquitoes ever become a biting problem. We also inspect for and remove standing water whenever possible — and treat remaining areas with larvicides to stop mosquito larvae and pupae from developing into biting adults.

Combination Approach

For properties with heavier pressure — wooded lots, yards near ponds, or homes with drainage areas and water features — we can combine both conventional fogging, larvicide application and In2Care Mosquito Stations. Used together, fogging and In2Care traps address both the adult population and the breeding cycle, producing more consistent results over the course of the season than fogging alone.

Is Mosquito Control Right for Your Property?

Mosquito control works best — and delivers the most noticeable results — on properties with identifiable pressure points. You're a strong candidate if your yard includes any of the following:

  • Tree coverage or wooded buffers along the property line
  • Low-lying or poorly draining areas
  • Water features, rain gardens, or decorative ponds
  • Proximity to a creek, retention pond, or natural area
  • Dense shrubs or ground cover where mosquitoes rest during the day

Even without these features, if mosquitoes are keeping you off your patio or out of your yard, treatment is worth discussing. Every property is different, and a free inspection gives us a clear picture of what you're dealing with before we recommend anything.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does mosquito season run in North Carolina?

Mosquito activity in our area typically picks up in March and April and remains active through October. Our treatment program runs April through October to cover the full active season.
How often do you treat?

We perform monthly treatments throughout the season. Consistent monthly service maintains population suppression far more effectively than sporadic or one-time treatments.
How soon after treatment can we use our yard?

Generally, treated areas are safe to re-enter once the application has dried, which typically takes 30 minutes to an hour. We'll let you know of any specific guidance at the time of service.
Are the treatments safe for my kids and pets?

Yes. We use EPA-registered products selected for effectiveness and safety. As with any pest treatment, we recommend keeping children and pets out of the treated area until it has fully dried.
What is the In2Care system and how does it work?

In2Care is a biological mosquito trap that attracts female mosquitoes looking for a place to lay eggs. The station is treated with a slow-acting biological agent that the mosquito picks up when she visits. She then carries it to other standing water sources in your yard, spreading the effect beyond the trap itself. It's a smart, science-backed way to reduce the breeding population, not just the adults you can see.
Do you offer mosquito control for commercial properties?

Yes. Mosquito control is available as an add-on for our commercial pest control accounts. It's a particularly popular addition for properties with outdoor common areas, courtyards, or any green space where employees, tenants, or guests spend time.
What areas do you serve?

We provide mosquito control throughout Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Apex, Cary, Garner, Raleigh, Willow Springs, and the surrounding communities.
